BIG CHANGES AT AM830

On Monday April 5th AM830 added many more hours per week of live sports talk to its lineup. On weekdays 10 AM - 4 PM we now present ESPN Radio’s Scott Van Pelt and Doug Gottlieb, who hails from Tustin.

The Sports Lodge with Roger Lodge remains in morning drive. Jeff Biggs and Jason Brennan take on a new roll in the Angels broadcast, hosting an extended Angels pregame show, “Angels On Air” which leads up to Terry Smith with Angels Warmup and then Angels play-by-play. Jeff also hosts Angel Talk for getaway
games and Terry Smith hosts Angel Talk the rest of the time. AM830 now also carries ESPN Radio’s Mike and Mike Show in the early morning and All Night with Jason Smith in the overnights.

AM830’s marketing line is “AM830 in association with ESPN”.

Ownership, control and programming of AM830 remains with Arte Moreno’s LAA1, LLC, headed by Dennis Kuhl.

AM830 remains the Angels flagship station, producing and airing all Angels pre-season, in-season and post-season games. As a part of the deal, KSPN (“710ESPN”) will simulcast about 60 Angels games with AM830, mostly on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. This will extend the reach of the Angels broadcast with the 710 transmitter located in the San Fernando Valley. KSPN will also co-sell advertising for the Angels broadcasts with AM830 and Angels Corporate Sales.

AM830 will continue to be the Ducks hockey and Notre Dame football station in the Los Angeles market and more live sports may be coming as well.

We hope you enjoy this next step as AM830 goes to the next level.
